A sense of home

This family wanted a house that evokes the welcome and warmth of a traditional home.

In that spirit, this is a house of rooms rather than an open plan. The more formal rooms - living and dining - face the street. The back is more casual - a sunny country kitchen opens into the family room, and both open to a generous back deck and yard.

On the upper floor the children's bedrooms are set in the front dormers, with sloped ceilings. The parents' suite, with a covered outdoor deck, overlooks the back yard and a nearby park.
